Retail Associate

bobo Palm Springs is looking to hire a cheery, stationery-loving, part-time retail associates who will work at our Uptown Palm Springs Boutique.


  • Bring concierge-level customer service in a bright and energetic micro-retail store.
  • Assist in managing inventory in-store while keeping the store displays full and organized. An eye for visual merchandising is a plus!
  • Assist with special events as needed (workshops, private shopping events, and pop-ups)
  • Have a high-level knowledge of products carried in-store. The success of bobo is being able to speak about the brands, their values, and how to use the various products we stock; this is key to maintaining the brand identity for bobo and the incredible artisan brands we carry!
  • Using a POS system with accuracy.


  • 2+ years of previous customer service experience is a must, preferably in a specialty or boutique setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, friendly, upbeat, and helpful demeanor is a must.
  • Experience with cash-handling and a POS
  • Creative, self-motivated, assertive and takes initiative, dependable, trustworthy, and consistent. Being able to work autonomously is a must.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform all store opening and closing duties independently.
  • Someone interested in stationery, paper goods, art, and design is not required but is a plus.


As we make our way into high season, our hours will be slowly expanding to accommodate the influx of travelers and the needs of locals.

This role can expect to be 8-16 hours per week to start with an increase of up to 30 hours upon operating expansion.

Starting Wage $16/hr + bonuses for sales goals
